Behind the Brief: Reset Strength

When Your Clients Can’t See What You Do, Show Them

Reset Strength and Sports Recovery Centre is one of those businesses that’s hard to explain in a sentence. They offer massage therapy, ice baths, infrared saunas, cryotherapy, compression therapy, and a 24/7 gym, all under one roof in Canberra. It’s a lot. And that’s exactly why video was the right move.

When people hear “sports recovery,” they picture different things. Some think of a physio clinic. Others imagine a cold plunge pool in someone’s backyard. The reality at Reset is a purpose-built facility with serious equipment and qualified practitioners working alongside everyday gym-goers and elite athletes.

Trying to communicate all of that through a website alone is tough. You can write about cryotherapy, but until someone sees a real person stepping into the chamber and walking out feeling better, the message doesn’t land the same way.

The Brief

Reset came to us with a clear goal: build visibility, attract new clients, and position the centre as Canberra’s go-to destination for recovery and performance. They needed content that worked across their website, Instagram, paid ads, and email marketing.

The challenge was scope. With so many services, we couldn’t just make one video and call it done. We needed a hero brand film that told the full story, plus individual service videos that could stand on their own. And it all had to feel cohesive, not like a collection of random clips.

We also needed to strike the right tone. Reset isn’t a luxury spa, but it’s not a gritty gym either. The content had to feel professional and science-backed while still being warm and approachable. That balance matters when you’re trying to attract both competitive athletes and people who just want to move better and sleep well.

How We Approached It

We started with a planning session to map out every service area and identify what mattered most to Reset’s audience. Then we built a shot list and storyboard that covered the full facility.

The shoot itself ran over a full day. We filmed across every service area: massage therapy rooms, the ice bath and infrared sauna setup, the cryotherapy chamber, compression therapy stations, and the gym floor. We captured real clients going through real sessions, not actors, not staged scenarios. That authenticity was important.

We also recorded testimonials from five actual clients. These weren’t scripted. We asked people to talk about what brought them to Reset and what kept them coming back. The answers were genuine and gave us the kind of social proof that no amount of stock footage can replicate.

What We Delivered

The final package was built to give Reset everything they needed for at least six months of content:

  • A 3 to 4 minute hero brand film that walks viewers through the full Reset experience
  • Six mini service videos (30 to 60 seconds each) explaining individual offerings like cryotherapy, massage, and ice baths
  • Seven social reels in both vertical and landscape formats
  • A client testimonial video featuring five real members
  • Ten professionally edited photos for web and social use
  • Team headshots for their about page
  • A bank of unedited vertical clips they could repurpose on their own

That last one is worth mentioning. Giving clients raw footage means they’re not stuck waiting for an editor every time they want to post something. It extends the value of a single shoot well beyond the original deliverables.

Why This Matters for Healthcare and Allied Health

If you work in healthcare or allied health, your biggest marketing challenge is probably the same one Reset faced: people don’t fully understand what you do until they experience it.

Video bridges that gap. It lets potential clients see the facility, meet the team, and understand the process before they ever walk through the door. For a service that requires trust, like someone putting their body in your hands, that first impression matters enormously.

The hero brand film now acts as a digital handshake for Reset. It builds trust before the first enquiry. The individual service videos help people self-select the right treatment. And the testimonials provide the kind of peer validation that no amount of marketing copy can match.

If your business offers something that’s easier to show than explain, video isn’t optional. It’s the most efficient way to turn curiosity into confidence. You can see more of what we captured in our Canberra Profile on Reset Strength.
