The Momentum Long COVID Program needed a complete video library to guide patients through respiratory and rehabilitation exercises - from their first breath with an IMT device all the way through to advanced recovery. We built it in two days.
One of 44 videos delivered for the Momentum Long COVID Program. This is IMT-4 - the cleaning guide - walking patients step-by-step through disassembling, washing and reassembling the Inspiratory Muscle Trainer device after every use.
IMT-4 of 5 - Educational Series · Momentum Physio + Rehab
The Momentum Long COVID Program supports patients recovering from the ongoing effects of COVID-19 - a condition that can leave people fatigued, breathless and unable to do the things they used to. A core part of their care model is structured respiratory and physical rehabilitation, delivered through guided video content.
The team needed a comprehensive, professionally produced video library that clinicians could embed into their app and YouTube channel. Every video had to be clear enough for someone managing a difficult recovery, and authoritative enough to be used as part of a clinical protocol.
That meant no shortcuts - proper production quality, consistent framing, accurate demonstrations, and an edit style that kept the focus on the patient and the movement.
44 videos needed to be filmed in two days. Every single one had to meet clinical standards and look consistent across the full library.
The content needed to work for patients at very different stages of recovery, and also hold up under clinical review by physiotherapists.
The Inspiratory Muscle Trainer is not a familiar piece of equipment. Educational videos had to demystify it step by step - from unboxing to cleaning.
All videos needed to be delivered as clean MP4 files, formatted for direct upload to both platforms without further editing.
Two full filming days is tight for 44 videos. We built a detailed shot list across three program stages and worked through every exercise systematically - filming front and side angles for each one. The result was a library that feels cohesive, not rushed.
Before a camera was picked up, every video was mapped out - angle, duration, exercise cues, and sequence within the program level. This meant no time was lost on set making decisions that should have been made beforehand.
Every exercise demonstration was filmed from both front-on and side-on angles. This gives patients - and clinicians - full visibility of form, which matters a lot when someone is recovering and technique affects safety.
Each video includes exercise names, stage indicators and key technique cues as text overlays - so patients can follow along even with the sound off, and clinicians can see at a glance what program level they are looking at.
The editing tone is warm, clear and encouraging. Patients recovering from Long COVID are dealing with something genuinely difficult. The videos are professional, but they never feel cold or detached.
Every video was delivered as a clean MP4, ready for immediate upload to the Momentum app and YouTube channel. No further editing needed.
5 videos covering the full IMT journey - introduction, unpackaging, setup, how to use, and cleaning. Each up to 3 minutes, clearly scripted and guided by a clinician.
Every exercise filmed front-on and side-on. Up to 30 seconds each. Divided across three recovery levels with clear on-screen labelling throughout.
Where clinically useful, front and side angles are shown simultaneously in a split-screen layout - giving patients a complete picture of the movement in one view.
The exercise library is structured around where a patient is in their recovery - not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each level has its own set of demonstrations, making it easy for clinicians to assign the right content at the right time.
Gentle, low-intensity exercises designed for patients who are still managing significant fatigue and breathlessness. The focus is on building a base safely.
A step up in challenge for patients who have stabilised. These exercises build on the foundational movements and start to introduce more sustained effort.
For patients approaching full recovery. More demanding exercises that help rebuild the strength, endurance and capacity that Long COVID had taken away.
The Momentum Long COVID Program now has a complete, clinically credible video library that lives inside their app and on YouTube. Patients can follow their program at home, at their own pace, with clear guidance on screen every step of the way.
