On June 3rd, 2023, EQ Surgical hosted their EQ Education event in Canberra: Game of Spines. The training covered modern approaches to lumbar (lower back) spine surgery, including XLIF, ALIF and PLIF techniques. What made it different was a Medieval-themed game show. It was designed to keep attendees involved and help them learn. Studio Who took the photos and video. We captured the serious teaching and the fun, competitive side of the day.

A comprehensive capture plan covered both the cerebral and the spirited - filming keynote sessions and fast-paced activities with equal weight. We planned around the full run sheet so we could switch smoothly between photos and video. We used several cameras and lenses. That gave us wide crowd shots, close-ups of hands-on learning and reactions during the game show. In the edit, we turned the day of learning into a lively, cinematic highlight video.
