Commercial Property Drone & FPV Showcase Video

Two Drones. One Building. A Showcase Video That Goes Everywhere the Eye Can't.

Evri Group needed a polished marketing video for East Edge 2 - a premium commercial precinct in Canberra. We delivered it with CASA-approved aerial exteriors and an FPV fly-through that takes viewers through all three floors and the foyer in a single continuous shot.

The Brief

A premium building deserves premium content to match

East Edge 2 is a modern commercial precinct in Canberra's inner north - three floors of premium office space with standout amenities: double-glazed windows, architectural bathrooms, EV charging in the forecourt, bicycle parking, and direct access to the Red Baron café on the ground floor. Evri Group needed a marketing video that would do justice to the space and support their leasing and web campaigns.

The brief was clear: capture exterior, interior, and lifestyle footage that showcases the building's character and the community feel of the precinct. The final video needed to work on the web, on LinkedIn, and in leasing presentations - polished enough to stand on its own.

What made this job technically demanding was the location. East Edge 2 sits within 5.5km of Canberra Airport, which means all exterior drone operations require CASA airspace authorisation. And to capture the interior across three floors and a foyer in a single, seamless sequence - we needed something a standard camera crew simply can't do.

The Challenges

Controlled Airspace

The site is within 5.5km of Canberra Airport, requiring CASA approval before a single exterior drone frame could be captured.

Interior Scale

Three floors and a foyer needed to be captured in a way that conveyed the building's size and flow - still photography alone wouldn't cut it.

Lifestyle Balance

The Red Baron café and precinct amenities needed to feel like a natural part of the building's story, not a separate shoot.

Multi-Platform Output

One shoot had to produce content suited to web, LinkedIn, and in-person leasing presentations - all from the same day.

Controlled Airspace

Most agencies don't fly here. We do.

Operating a drone within 5.5km of Canberra Airport isn't something you improvise. It requires a formal CASA airspace authorisation, a current ReOC (Remote Operator Certificate), and written site approval from the property owner - all secured and documented before flight day.

Studio Who holds all required certifications and manages the full authorisation process in-house. For East Edge 2, we secured CASA approval (AU-OKF-RT1PGN570) allowing manual flight to 16m, coordinated the ground safety setup, and flew within the approved window without a single operational issue.

This isn't a nice-to-have. It's the difference between aerial footage that's legal, safe, and covered by insurance - and footage that isn't.

CASA Approval AU-OKF-RT1PGN570 - Approved
East Edge 2 aerial view showing car park, EV charging stations and landscaped precinct grounds
East Edge 2 building entrance with EV charging stations, paved pathway and landscaped garden beds
Red Baron café outdoor terrace at East Edge 2 - covered pergola with festoon lights and precinct views
East Edge 2 foyer viewed from upper floor landing - large Indigenous artwork, blush barrel seating and glass balustrade with brass rail
FPV Interior Fly-Through

Three floors. One continuous shot. No cuts.

To capture the scale and flow of East Edge 2's interior, we deployed an FPV (First Person View) drone - a specialised aircraft piloted in real time with live goggle vision, capable of precise indoor flight that a standard drone simply can't do.

The result is a single uninterrupted fly-through that moves through the double-height foyer - past the large Indigenous artwork that anchors the entrance and the curved blush seating below - up through all three levels, capturing ceiling heights, floor layouts, and the feel of the building in a way that still photography and standard video can't replicate. It's the kind of shot that makes a leasing prospect stop scrolling.

The Approach

Two specialist rigs. One coordinated shoot. Everything in a single day.

We ran a two-drone operation: a CASA-certified drone for the exterior aerials - capturing rooftop perspectives, the car park structure, and the building's relationship with the wider precinct - and an FPV drone for the interior, navigating all three floors and the foyer in a continuous, immersive sequence.

On the ground, our camera operator covered the architectural details that drones can't: amenity close-ups, the Red Baron café's covered pergola terrace with its festoon lights and precinct lawn views, lifestyle sequences, and the building features Evri Group needed front and centre. Every shot was planned in advance against the brief - nothing was left to chance on the day.

What we delivered

CASA-Approved Aerial Exteriors

Fully authorised exterior drone footage capturing the building, car park, and surrounding precinct from up to 16m altitude - legally flown within Canberra Airport's controlled airspace.

FPV Interior Fly-Through

A seamless, continuous interior fly-through across the foyer and all three floors - captured with a specialist FPV drone for a perspective no standard camera rig can achieve.

Architectural & Lifestyle Footage

Ground-level camera work covering amenity details, the Red Baron café interiors, building features, and lifestyle sequences - edited to work alongside the drone footage.

60-120 Second Showcase Video

A polished, production-ready marketing video edited for use on the Evri Group website, LinkedIn, and in-person leasing presentations.

The Result

A showcase video built to lease space and win attention

The final edit gives Evri Group a production-ready marketing asset they can deploy immediately across digital channels and leasing campaigns. The aerial and FPV footage in particular gives East Edge 2 a presence online that's genuinely difficult to replicate - because most agencies operating in Canberra aren't CASA-authorised for controlled airspace work, and few have the FPV capability to execute interior fly-throughs at this scale.

For Evri Group, that means their building looks exactly as premium as it actually is.

Outcome
